Individual needing Notary Public services

Do you need a notary public to witness you signing a document?
  • You will need to make an appointment to come to our office. Please send an email to The appointment should take only 20-30 minutes.

  • You will need to bring with you the document to be signed, a valid passport, your driver’s licence (or some other form of photo ID), and a bank statement or utilities invoice showing your residential address in New Zealand.

  • The cost will be $120 (incl. GST) per document to be notarised, which you must pay in advance or at the time of the appointment.


Do you need to have a notary public certify that a document is a true copy of an original document?

  • Please send a copy of the document by email to

  • Depending on the nature of the document (for example, a degree or diploma certificate) we may be required to independently authenticate the document.

  • You will need to make an appointment to come to our office or you will need to arrange for the original document to be delivered to our office. If an appointment is required, this should take only 20-30 minutes.

  • The costs will be:

    • $120 (incl. GST) per document if you come to our office

    • an additional $120 (incl. GST) per document if the document needs to be independently authenticated

    • an additional $90 (incl. GST) if you do not come to our office and the original document and the notarised copy needs to be sent to you (by courier)
