Professor Juliet Gerrard appointed as Chief Scientific Advisor to the New Zealand Prime Minister

Congratulations Juliet!  The team at Catalyst Intellectual Property are thrilled that Professor Juliet Gerrard FRSNZ has been appointed as the Prime Minister’s Chief Science Advisor from 1 July 2018.  See the official announcement here.


Professor Gerrard is an internationally renowned biochemist who trained at Oxford University and currently holds a position as Professor of Biochemistry at the University of Auckland.  She has research interests spanning many areas but a primary focus area of protein biochemistry.


Juliet is the founder of Hi-Aspect Limited, a Catalyst Intellectual Property client.  Hi-Aspect was created to commercialise her research.  Hi-Aspect develops protein-based materials to provide advanced personal skin care, cosmetics, and wound healing products.  We are very pleased to be working with Juliet and Hi-Aspect in supporting their intellectual property protection strategy as they develop their exciting products.
