GARTH HENDRY
Garth has nearly 20 years’ patent attorney experience in life sciences with a particular focus on diagnostic, vaccine, antibody, aptamer, stem cell and therapeutic technologies. Garth is passionate about adding strategic value to early stage technology ventures, from securing intellectual property rights fundamental to commercialisation activity to advising on risk identification and mitigation. Garth’s seven years of university IP management experience has helped him understand and appreciate the commercial drivers that underpin research and development strategies within technology businesses, and the importance of devising and implementing effective IP strategies to ensure maximum commercial leverage.
Garth has a PhD in biochemistry/biophysics from the Australian National University and during his professional career has held private-practice and in-house roles between New Zealand and Australia.
