Maddalena is an experienced paralegal with over 15 years of experience working in various areas of law at New Zealand’s leading law firms, more than seven years of which have been spent working in intellectual property.

Maddalena supports Catalyst Intellectual Property’s trade mark teams in Auckland and Wellington as well as having direct interaction with New Zealand and international clients, law firms, and an established network of global agents, in order to efficiently assist clients with the management of their trade mark portfolios.

​

Maddalena takes pride in ensuring the smooth flow of trade mark matters for a positive outcome for clients.

Outside of Catalyst Intellectual Property, Maddalena manages a successful beauty and event management business and spends many of her weekends with clients at her beauty salon, or onsite managing, DJing, VJing or providing production for a variety of events across New Zealand and internationally.

In her spare time Maddalena enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, relaxing over a cocktail or glass of wine, experiencing new menus throughout Auckland’s ever-evolving hospitality scene, travelling, and snowboarding in the winter season.
 

Maddalena’s responsibilities include:

All aspects of trade mark portfolio administration, document management and trade mark procedures at the Intellectual Property Office of New Zealand and IP Australia, including conducting trade mark clearance searches, filing trade mark applications, the recording of name and address changes, assignments, and trade mark renewals.
