Melissa joins Catalyst Intellectual Property as part of the merger with Ellis IP Limited, the trade mark practice of Ellis Terry.  Melissa has over 20 years of experience working in intellectual property including in the UK and New Zealand in both the legal sector and as in-house IP Manager for large international and New Zealand based businesses.  Melissa works with Rachael as well as independently, handling direct communications with agents and clients as necessary to assist in the smooth flow of trade mark matters.

Melissa is experienced in document management and trade mark procedures at Intellectual Property Office of New Zealand and IP Australia, including applications, change of client details, assignments and renewals
 

Melissa’s responsibilities include:

Conducting trade mark clearance searches

Trade mark portfolio administration, including filing, maintenance, assignments, recordals, and renewals.
Case records and file management.

Monitoring of critical deadlines.

Database management.
